From Farm to Harvest
Falcon Herbs’ marjoram is grown directly on our own farms in Fayoum, giving us full control over the crop from planting through to final packing.
- Cultivation: Grown under close in-house agricultural supervision, with tailored irrigation and soil management to preserve the plant’s aromatic oil content and characteristic flavor.
- Harvest: Leaves are cut at peak maturity, when essential oil concentration and aroma are at their strongest.
- Post-Harvest Handling: Harvested marjoram is dried under controlled conditions to preserve color, aroma, and active compounds.
- Grinding: After drying, the herb is milled to the required particle size:
- Coarse Crush (Large Grind) — larger particle size, suited for applications requiring visible leaf texture
- Fine Crush (Fine Grind) — finer particle size, suited for seasoning blends and fine culinary applications
- Grind size is produced according to customer specification
- Cleaning & Sorting: Product passes through mechanical and manual sorting to remove stems and foreign matter, ensuring a clean, uniform final product.
- Quality Control: Each batch undergoes laboratory testing (microbiological, pesticide residue/MRL, and physical quality parameters) prior to export, in line with EU and international food safety standards.
