From Farm to Harvest
Falcon Herbs’ chamomile is cultivated on select farms in the Fayoum region of Egypt, an area known for its fertile soil and favorable microclimate for herb cultivation.
- Cultivation: Grown under controlled agricultural practices, with careful water and soil management to preserve the plant’s natural essential oil content and delicate aroma.
- Harvest: Flowers are hand-picked at peak bloom to ensure maximum color, fragrance, and active compound concentration (apigenin, chamazulene, and essential oils).
- Post-Harvest Handling: Immediately after picking, flowers are shade-dried under controlled temperature and humidity to preserve color, aroma, and therapeutic properties, avoiding direct sun exposure that can degrade quality.
- Cleaning & Sorting: Dried flowers pass through mechanical and manual sorting to remove stems, foreign matter, and broken particles, ensuring a clean, uniform final product.
- Quality Control: Each batch undergoes laboratory testing (microbiological, pesticide residue/MRL, and physical quality parameters) prior to export, in line with EU and international food safety standards.
